Our newest addition, tender and tasty with generous chunks of lamb enhance with sweetness of honey and mint sauce. Succulent, slow cooked lamb is the star of this golden-crusted pie, infused with deep rich flavours of black pepper and garlic and a drizzle of honey adds a delicate sweetness that melts into the savoury juices, while mint sauce brings a cool, aromatic lift that lingers on the palate. Encased in golden pastry that crumbles at the touch of a fork, each bite delivers a comforting balance of sweet, savoury, and herbaceous flavours—a nostalgic twist on a timeless classic.

Too much mint. This was the first time we had tried this particular pie and I regret to say we were not impressed with this one. The mint was overpowering and there were too many peas it was difficult to find the lamb! We have been eating your pies for quite some time now and this was the first time we had been disappointed. Needless to say we will not be buying this one again.

Too much Pepper. .

Recently sent for these pies . When I took the 2 pies out of the boxes the lids fell off the pies. .
The pie itself, the lamb was small diced pieces in a. mint & pea gravy. But there. were. a. very peppery taste, so much it put me. off eating it. The pastry on the lids was very hard, the pie pastry was nice .

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your recent experience with our pies did not meet your expectations.

We regret that the pie lids detached upon removal from the packaging and that the seasoning was not to your liking. We also appreciate your comments regarding the texture of the pastry and the flavour of the filling, and we will be reviewing this with our production team to ensure we maintain the highest standards.

Pie Makers Since 1936

The origins of our bakery date back to 1936 when Wilfred Charles Lewis, a local of Swansea & Gower, decided to start making pies for the community.

Wilfred Charles started his small bakery in a single room in Fleet Street, Sandfields. He made his pies in solid metal tins and cooled them on the pavement outside. Wilfred perfected his craft, and soon enough he gained a reputation for his delectable pies.

Today and since 2013 it’s the third generation of the Lewis family, Wilfred James Lewis, that continues to guide the business.
